PostSubject: Population growth in inda, china and the US   Tue Dec 02, 2008 2:04 am

As we can see, one of the graphs above shows how the population in China and India has increase, unlike the US population, that has maintain almost still. In 1950, the country with most population is China with about 550 millions, then India with around 350 millions and at least the US with 200 millions. India and China's population continue to increase getting in the 2005 to 1,300 million the first one and 1,100 million the second one, in the other place, the US in the 2005 its population is about only 270 million compared to the other two. As the graph shows, it says that in 2028, the India population is going to pass the China population over around 1,450 million. India's population will be according to the graph and the statistics, more or less of 1,550 in the year of 2050, below would be China, with 1,300 million, and with the less population would be the US with only 450 million.

PostSubject: urbanisation and population growth   Tue Dec 02, 2008 3:32 am

The graphs shown above show population growth (first graph) in China and India from 1950 until now, and their projection until 2050, and we can also appreciate how this population has distributed between urban and rural (second graph) from 1950 until now, and projections until 2030.

As we can see the population in China in the 1950's was almost twice as big than India's population in the same year, at that time five hundred million people from China lived in rural parts of the country and three hundred million people from India. China's rural part reached a pick in 1995, meanwhile India's continued growing until now, and it is projected to reach a pick around 1925.

What really stands out is the difference between the population in the urban and rural parts of both countries, in China's case urban population in the 1950's was around one fifth compared to the rural population, this is projected to balance in a near future in 1915. In the case of India the big difference will continue for more than 30 years from now.

India and China are counties with a very big population growth and are urbanizing quite fast, China's highest population rate will be around the 2030's, while India will continue growing and growing.

The graphs on the left, such as they alredy explained, show the increase on population, first graph, and rates of urbanisatio in China and India through time, second graph.
The population in China, India and the US, such as shown on the graph at the top and as we can see has had a notable increase since 1950.
In China in 1980 the population had increased from 500 to 1000, so far on the 1990, the population increased about 300 million people, in The 2005 the population was around 1250 million people, and they expect 1500 after the 2030's.
In India and Us the population has a big difference, in the 1950's in India was 500 million people, in the US 250 million people.
In the 1990's in India the populatin was around 850 million peolple, in the Us exacty 250 million people and the expectations fot the 2030's in India is around 1500 millions, the Us 350 million people.
The chart below, shows the urbanization in India and China.
The urabanization, such as i understand the graph, has only increased while ruralizatin has decreased.
In 1985 India had 200 million people urbanized and China aroun 250 million people.
Nowadays not only in India but also in China, the urban population has commonly increased;in India about 350 million people while in China around 550 million people.
The decrease and increase on ruralization has also an important impact, since 1950 to 2008 In india the population increased to 800 millions, and on China it decreased to 700 millions.

The first graph show how population has been growing through the time, it also shows an speculation on how the population is going to grow after the year 2005 in India, China, and the United States to the year 2050. Its a very complete chart because it shows how the population numbers has increased through the time form 1950 to an speculation on how it is going to be in the year 2050.
We can see in the graph that the United States has never been less that 250 millions of people close to the India population and that was in 1950, nevertheless the graph show that even India has never reached China's population level in the future between 2025 and 2030 it will reach and pass China's number of habitants.

The second graph shows the urbanization levels India and China from 1950 to an speculation after 2005 to 2030.
This graph shows clearly a different trend of this two countries in the speculation we can see that in China between 2005 and 2010 there is going to be more people living in the cities than people living in a rural environment; and in the other side we have India which just tends to grow in rural population and in urban population, but in the speculation we can see that in the year 2030 they will probably be more balanced but as the chart shows they are not going to change the trend of more people living in the rural areas.
